Part of the Heartland Expressway (Ports to Plains Corridor) Northern Lights Commercial is located at the new Exit 61 & 1-90 interchange and on the north terminus of the Southeast Connector which is a new by-pass road corridor that connects around southeast Rapid City. This connector is now called Elk Vale Road which is the north route of the Heartland Expressway, this new federally funded highway connects Rapid City to Denver, linking I-90 to I-80, I-76 and I-70. Exit 61 is the direct route to Mt Rushmore and Black Hills attractions via the Southeast Connector, Elk Vale continues to carry increasing commuter traffic to the area’s largest employers. One of the major routes to Ellsworth Air Force Base, Rapid City Regional Hospital and Rapid City Regional Airport. Excellent highway visibility. 4+ million Black Hills visitors yearly.
